I adore working with teenagers, their unique perspective keeps the world on its toes. I am also passionate about supporting parents as they navigate the ever changing and always challenging experience of raising their children through adolescence. Additionally, I very much enjoy working with individual adults and people seeking support in their relationships. I am here to explore what healing looks like for you. I am committed to holding unconditional compassion and deep belief in your experience at the forefront of my listening. I am a believer in the importance of culturally affirming healing spaces and will bring my lived experience into our work together, as well as my formal education and training. As a white cis-woman, it is important to me to name that my personal approach is decidedly anti-racist and rooted in concepts of liberation and abolition. My background includes years of experience in the mental health field including being a school based therapist, a crisis support administrator, and the clinical and program supervisor of a crisis stabilization program for youth. My educational background includes: Early Childhood Education (AS, 2010), Ethnic Studies (BA, 2016) (Minors: Black Studies; Genders and Sexualities in Communities of Color), and a Master of Social Work (MSW, 2018) which focused on urban community practice. My graduate thesis examined implicit bias in schools and compared a number of interventions designed to reduce racial disproportionality in educational settings. Additionally, I hold certifications in Ecotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Motivational Interviewing, and have training/experience with Narrative Practices.
